One of Colorado’s older highways connecting Golden and Boulder, CO 93, has become so notoriously dangerous that some of the commuters have started brandishing a popular bump sticker on their automobiles that highlights their accomplishments of survival, so far.
“Pray for me, I drive 93,” it states.
Motorists who sport the bumper sticker say they put the badge of honor on their car for good luck. One such motorist, Steve Glennon of Boulder, says he put his on after witnessing all the auto accidents strewn along the dangerous corridor over the years, according to a Lakewood Sentinel article.1

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) in partnership with WestConnect Coalition is undertaking an 18 month Planning and Environment Linkages (PEL) study that will look at ways to reduce congestion, improve overall operation and safety and look at ways to address long-term transportation needs.
The actual study will focus broadly on what is called the WestConnect Corridor. Here is what the WestConnect Corridor consists of:
Several community members have shown up to CDOT and WestConnect Coalition open house meetings to air their concerns with county commissioners, council members, and city mayors. “We need to improve transportation in order to make travel safer along this corridor,” said Golden resident M.L. Richardson. “It’s very exciting that the various governmental entities are coming together for this.”
