More than 100,000 Fords have seat belt defects
Ford Motor Company is a long-standing American automobile manufacturer who, according to Forbes, is one of the “Best Employers for Women.” And although they’ve seen their share of challenges since their inception in the early 1900s, their sales top $160 million.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean the company is exempt from errors. Ford recently issued a recall notice because of seat belt-related safety concerns in specific models.

Why was a recall issued? Part of the seat belt assembly may not withstand the heat created in restraining someone during an accident, thereby increasing the chance of injuries during a crash.
Which vehicles does the recall include? The affected vehicles include the Lincoln MKZ and Ford Fusion manufactured at individual assembly plants between specific dates in 2015.
What is the number of recalled vehicles? Ford recalled 108,399 vehicles across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
